Spring

I have forgotten how wonderful the sound of spring rain is... It has been such a long time since I have heard the pitter patter of rain... Spring rain is such a traditional hallmark of the change of seasons... In one way, this rain is a welcome change and on the other hand, this rain has cooled down the temperature...

Flowers blooming everywhere is the other aspect of Spring that seems to lift my spirits. I love the sight of the cherry blossoms and how they look so fluffy and this marks the end of winter... The other aspect of the cherry blossom is when they start to fall, it looks like a pretty shower of pink petals... It is always so pretty to behold... The first flower that usually pops out of the ground is that of the daffodil... All the spring bulbs come with such wonderful aromas and the smell is something to behold and enjoy while they last...

What has been happening

Well lets see, I have been busy with assignments and more assignments... Then there was this wonderful experience of watching the Red Moon on Tuesday 28 August... That was really a sight to behold as at one point, the moon looked like it was burning with a blue flame...

Now it is back to the reality of study before heading overseas again soon... But hopefully my chest would clear up that much more before then... I so love being on antibiotics for the third time and now I have 2 inhalers to complete the look... Have to visit the doctor once a month to ensure that all is clearing up as they should and behaving...

Okie back to reality...

a new week

Well what can I say, the weeks just seem to roll by. I have had all my introductory lectures for all my courses. Some have been more interesting than others... Have had one of my Sunday sessions already and have a Saturday session this week.

It has been an interesting time thus far... The flatmate that took over from Martha has moved out and boy am I glad to see the back of her leave... It has been a torturous time and it felt like I was living with a 5 year old in a 27 year old's body. That is putting it nicely... Lets just say that she has a lot to learn about life and more importantly how to get along with people. More likely disengaged from the world is a better way of putting it...

Have decided to be really organized this semester and focused and thus I have created a calender for each month with all the important dates on it as well as the readings that need to be covered... What has being a student done to me? Never in my life have I done such a thing! Oh well... Okay I am off to bed as I need my sleep... Barking coughs are bad especially during class... Tomorrow is a new day and tomorrow is a day to look at my Law paper... The reading is rather challenging and I need to investigate NSW laws and statutes on Bullying in school... Any ideas?

adventures of 4 wheels

It is the last week of the holidays... Been a really busy time for me... A few of us have been busy shopping and stocking up on this that and the other... Some have been beautifying their rooms... I rented a car and thus legs exist once again... So it has been adventures every day... Went to Ikea two days in a row and surprise surprise didn't get lost!!!But driving to Paramatta from Rhodes is an adventure.... the roads don't always exist as where they should technically on the map and at other times, the road disappears before your eyes... Had a few interesting sudden changes when hey presto, am in a turning lane wanting to go straight instead! But all in all it has been really fun and enjoyable...

Oh and by the way it is technically still winter at the moment but it was a high of 23 degrees today and 21 yesterday... Miss the cooler weather already... anyway... I am off....

monday

Monday is here once again...

Things that get under my skin...

  • people ripping pages out of the library books
  • people that push their way round the supermarket literally push their way around!
  • too much sunshine and not enough rain
  • Why do we have to pay more for dine in as compared to take away?
  • smelly rubbish bins
  • air heads who have no real substance- What are they doing in a Master program?
  • migraines that won't go away
  • feeling sleepy all the time...

the weekend

It is finally here... I had a new and novel experience today... For once I took the bus that leaves from the doorstep of the village into town... I decided to use the time wisely and read my notes and readings on the bus... Maybe that was not such a great idea as it felt as if my eyeballs were about to pop out of the sockets and onto my lap...Plus by the time I got into QVB, I had motion sickness and felt really weird... Not an experience to be repeated... The highlighting on the page went anywhere and everywhere but not where it was suppose to go...

By the way... In case you were wondering... YES it was another hot day and this week all the records for highest temperatures in May have been broken.... including the highest lowest night temperature of almost 20 Degrees Celsius which happened last night!

Okie time to sleep before hitting the books again in a few hours time...
