monday rolls by

It is Monday and the week has begun to roll very quickly.... Please slow down a little if that is possible... Time can you please try and crawl for a change instead of being a bullet train? It has been a productive day though all said and done... I finished my assignment and fine tuned the presentation work... Posted some thoughts on the discussions for my online component of the course till I was unable to do so and took it as a sign that I should stop... Went to the library and borrowed 9 books which weighed a lot and ended up getting a Macquarie bag to transport the books back... Walked up the path by the Gym which is the steepest and the most challenging... Was dripping in perspiration by the time I got back home and turned on the fan which is something I have not done in ages... Went out to get dinner with Martha and guess the flavor of the week is pizza... this is the second meal of it in 3 days... Have leftovers in the fridge (surprised?) Anyway think I am going to head off to bed as my eyes are drooping and no amount of toothpicks or super glue is going to keep them open... the price one pays for staying up late to study and when one is not as young as before it really affects one's sleep pattern... Beauty sleep is calling out....Isn't the duck so cute? Got him at the Myer post Easter sale and it cost less than $3 as it was reduced by 75%... Thought that was such a steal....

ANZAC Day

Wednesday was ANZAC day... The one day that gets celebrated on both sides of the Tasman... Historically it is to celebrate what the Australian and New Zealand troops did at Galipolli in 1915 during the First World War. In case you are wondering Galipolli is located in Turkey. It is a really solemn occasion with Dawn Ceremonies held... But today there are very few if any of the original troops left and so other wars are celebrated as well... I did not make it to the dawn ceremony at Martin Place as it started at 0430 and I think the beauty slee is more important... One day I might make it to a dawn ceremony.

Went down to Martin Place yesterdayand saw the Monument with all the flowers... Can't help but wonder why people send innocent people into war for no rhyme or reason... It doesn't make sense at all as the solider is someone's child, soul mate and matters to the rest of the world... I am in a rather reflective mood at the moment...

Had a good time with Martha today as we went into the city... Took a train from Gordon to Wynard Station... It is the first time I have been on that train line... it was good fun traveling on the train... Have not done so in ages... We went to Lindt Boutique to have lunch and desert at Martin Place and that was fun... Forgot how much I miss a good chocolate eclair... Ok it is a weird thing to miss but it sure felt good to sink my teeth into it...

The rain is back for now and the weather is cooling down especially once the sun has set... There is change in the air... The nights are getting longer...

monday blues

Well what can I say? It is well and truly Monday... It is raining as usual... then again it is raining more than usual today... It has been raining since last night and there isn't any sign it is going to let up. In fact there was another lightning storm last night... But I missed it as i was snug as a bug in bed asleep for a change... I was asleep some time after 2200 and before 2300 which is like way way way early for me... plus I did not hear the rubbish truck and slept in till about 0730 which is an accomplishment foe me
This is the pool collecting water from the rain and it is fast filling up... It is amazing how much rain has fallen... Quite a pain walking out of the house to class though... Had to find the rain coat and waterproof shoes... Puddles everywhere and just about slipped and fell a few times... Anyway... it is time to enjoy the cool night and curl up in bed....Tomorrow is a new and exciting day filled with more assignments and readings....

there and back again

It has been a long time... Lets see... I have been busy playing Mahjong in Auckland with my Grandparents... Eating as and when I feel like it... Doing a lot of reading for all the different papers...

Am now back in Sydney... Coming back here was an adventure all by itself...For once in my entire life my weight limit was way exceeded and I had to remove 7kilos of stuff from my bags... then again i had 1 suitcase, 1 bag, 1 roller bay and my computer bag... So nothing surprising... Did it there and then at the check in counter and guess what! I put most of the things back into my roller bag after i moved away from check in... Got upgraded to Business class and Emirates is amazing.... I really enjoyed the really short flight from Auckland to Sydney... the business class is something... I think it is even better than first class on Singapore Airlines in terms of service and food but not the seat or the reading light...

It is 0638 and I have been awake for almost an hour... the birds are busy singing and they woke me up... sigh.... guess I should get on with my day as there is church in a few hours.... at least all the unpacking is done and everything is put away....

wind blown

Where have all the days gone? I can't help but wonder at the moment... All my days seem to merge into one... Here I was thinking that it is Friday today and hey it is already the weekend... Well I am happy to say all I am doing at the moment is sleep... It is my best friend at the moment and it sure feels good to sleep a lot- minus the fact that I get kicked out of bed in the morning to wander down to eat breakfast or go out somewhere... So guess it is safe to say that the holiday is going well... Went out west Kumeu to look at a scarecrow fest yesterday and there were some really cute looking displays... The weather has turned really cold here and I feel the wind blasting me most of the time... Then again when the wind is coming up from Antarctica so there you go... right time to find some fur....

Holidays

The holidays are here at last... I survived my flight back to Auckland... But can't remember what happened on the trip as I was asleep more than I was awake- only woke up at strategic times like for the meal and when the plane was in its final descend.... The rest of the time your guess is as good as mine... Then again it was a flight that left at 0915 in the morning and that was after the Dance Party... So you can imagine just how much sleep I had...

So I am back in Auckland and it is so hot and sunny here that I am back in summer clothes which I had to search out as I have forgotten where I put them. .. sigh must try and remember a bit more- i am at the stage where I put things down and clean forget what I did with it! Okie time to hit the drama study...

Bunny Experience

This is my first big adventure. I am Bunny Wabbit. I came from Starbucks Darling Harbour. But today I went on a really exciting trip to the Sydney Aquarium.
This is me trying to look at the fish. Wonder where they are?
Jelly Fish... They looked really good. There were pink and blue ones swimming around the tank... Some were big and some were tiny...
I am looking at the corals in the shark tank. Wonder where the sharks are. The corals were orange...

This is me posing once again at the shark tank... I know I am such a poser and all... can you see the shark trying to eat me!

I glow in the dark. How cool is that?

The corals at the Barrier Reef display were so pretty to look at... I wanted to touch them myself but that would have required me getting all wet and yucky. Plus I am a wabbit and wabbits don't like to get wet at all!

The beautiful coral and fish swimming around. Wonder what do the fish do other than swim?

The lazy octopus and my pretty starfish friend!

Why do the fish want to eat me?

I am trying to swim. How good is that?

My new friends that I made in the shop. They are all so cute and white!
So as you can see I had a really wonderful adventure with all the different people. The only bummer was the weather- it kept raining and I had to be made waterproof. But we are all tired now and need our beauty sleep.

last week

It is already Wednesday... I seem to be stuck in a loop at the moment... The weather is not in its usual routine- it didn't rain on Monday and that didn't feel right. I am trying to decide what to read at the moment or attack... Have to worry about EHE908's critical essay but there is also EPG928's presentation and big assignment and EDL901's Case Study which I am partially stuck at the moment... Hold on there is EHE912 in there somewhere... Guess I will just keep plodding along slowly like the good old turtle...

The number of trees I have helped chopped down in the past few days is scary... I guess the recycle bin would love me eventually but right now I am focused on destroying the environment... Not that it is going to make a very big dent I guess... But like they always say we all have to do out part... Hmm.... At least it is only tress that are a renewable resource so to speak that I am affecting...

My tummy is acting up once again... I have this wonderful coping mechanism at the moment that really lets me know in an extremely loud manner that I am torturing it.... Great! Not the best in polite company though... Oops... Too much information already!!!

Looking forward to the break as hopefully the sun would stop shinning that early in the morning and I would actually be able to get some decent sleep... LOL as if the sun would stop shinning at my whim and fancy? But the world would still continue to rotate and there will still be only 24 hours in the day...

What shall I focus on at the moment? There are just too many things demanding my attention and time... I wonder....

baking....

Ok... It is not a good idea to decide to start baking at 2200... Not a good look at all... I mean hey by the time all the things are done it is way past midnight... Okie I am slow so sue me...Considering I had t do a cake and cookies- I don't think I did that badly... Haha yeah right.... I decided to bake another lot of cup cakes this morning and they sure smelt good... Eaten one already... Now to decide how to decorate them or ice them...Hmmm... Oh and it is really tricky when there are no oven mittens in the house... I burnt my finger! What's new?

Oh and we had house inspection yesterday which was a nice adventure...

Anyway time to start working.... It is going to be a week of feasting as there is pizza night on thursday and bring a plate on friday...
